This week on Episode 161 of the Inner Monologue podcast is the Co-owner and Co-operator of Drumming Sounds, Andrew Ecker. Andrew is trained in a evidence based healing protocol called HealthRHYTHMS. For Andrew, drum circle is about more than just drumming; it is about the collective experience, building community, enhancing quality of life through experience and holding space for the individual to explore self through the whole, the community. Andrew promotes empowerment and give license to cultivating a sacred space where demographics fade and people connect at the most basic of humanness through rhythm, harmony and co-creation. Through his use of intentional drumming protocol we bring communities of all kinds to a space of love and gratitude and in that space the infinite is explored and the ultimate expression of human connection is reached which on turn enters us into the optimal state of human design, connection: love: gratitude. Bringing us all back to the basic rhythm of life, the heartbeat of the planet.

This week on Episode 158 of the Inner Monologue podcast is founder of Your Art, Your Story, Kristel Nielsen. Your Art, Story is developing programs that benefit suicide loss survivors and attempt survivors. Our most successful program is free monthly art class, created in partnership with the Arizona Artists Guild. Art programs provide a great deal of relaxation and enjoyment to the participants, while giving them an opportunity to meet other survivors and share the bond of community. As part of our mission, we use art as a vehicle to raise awareness about suicide and mental health issues. Kristel talks about her relationship with art and the healing journey she has been on since losing her son, Story, to suicide.
